Job Description
Publicis Groupe has an immediate need for an Associate Director of Talent with broad, HR generalist experience in an ad agency environment. This is a direct hire opportunity with an ASAP start date.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide general tactical, in-the-weeds support to the agency human resources function including employee relations, performance management, compliance, payroll, and the like
Interpret laws, policies, and procedures for application within the agency
Identify and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a collaborative employer-employee relationship
Provide counseling and coaching to all staff on interpersonal relations, advising and recommending resolutions to issues, and promoting collaborative relations between all employees
Protect the interests of employees and the company by establishing policies and practices in accordance with company culture and governmental laws and regulations
Determine legal requirements and government reporting regulations and monitors the exposure of the company. Advise management with recommendations on compliance, particularly those that pertain to labor, equal opportunity, health and safety sub-areas.
Review job descriptions and advise on the correct FLSA classifications; collaborate with other internal compensation teams for alignment
Administer and maintain employee information in HRIS systems including processing new hire information and changes of status, liaising with IT on employee access issues and entry of tickets into IMAC, and liaising with Payroll on pay issues
Maintain employee records in accordance with accepted practices and legal requirements
Prepare reporting and audit information as needed both within brand and for Groupe on a regular cadence
Administer company leave policies and coordinates with employees utilizing leaves of absence to advise, assist, and ensure legal compliance
Manage and mentor 1 or more subordinate team members
Own the compensation process including cycles, promotion into opens, and counters
Serve as Talent Lead for multiple capabilities including Client Management, Technology, Media, and/or Strategy
Provide oversight to performance review process/tool


7-9 years of progressively responsible human resources generalist experience in a fast-paced, highly matrixed advertising agency environment
Prior experience working within a M&A/change management environment strongly preferred
Ability to interpret, explain, and apply human resource law and agency policies
Prior experience managing and mentoring others a plus
Process-driven and analytical with an ability to review reports, interpret data, and quickly and efficiently resolve complex issues
Politically savvy and tactful with a high degree of emotional intelligence
Strong knowledge of all applicable state and federal regulations
Ability to be nimble thrive in a flexible, dynamic work environment
Strong knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of human resources management
Knowledge of legal process, procedures, and compliance requirements as related to HR, personnel, and labor matters
Understanding of corporate payroll and promotion cycles
Experience proactively and reactively responding to, addressing, mediating, and resolving employee relations issues
Experience with employee onboarding, offboarding, PIP development, termination, promotion, career pathing, and other performance evaluation issues
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of company personnel
Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form and demonstrated analytical skills
Solid negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to facilitate discussion and mediate conflict
Strong ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining extraordinary attention to detail
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills including strong active listening skills
Confident communicator, both one-on-one with the employee population and in group presentation settings with agency leadership
A service-driven approach to leadership and a commitment to the practical application of empathy.
No egos allowed, sense of humor strongly preferred.
