Job summary
Do you want to play an instrumental role in leading diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategies for a global organization on the frontlines of change for Amazon? As we strive to be the earth’s best employer, we are seeking an experienced program manager to lead our global diversity conferences, partnerships and events strategies.

As a program manager on our central diversity, equity and inclusion team in Worldwide Consumer Talent Acquisition, you will drive candidate generation strategies and helps build diverse talent pools for the future through employer branding, strategic partnerships, and internal and external events. You’ll advise business leaders and collaborate closely with recruiting teams to build out new sourcing strategies and talent engagement efforts, innovate to create equitable and inclusive candidate experiences, and represent Amazon with key partner organization in diverse communities.

You’ll drive organizational success by conceptualizing, coordinating and executing our global footprint at key events throughout the year. These events include virtual, hybrid and in-person events of all sizes, ranging from large-scale conferences to intimate Q&As.

Successful candidates for this role will have a keen eye for the details of large scale events management, a strong understanding of employer branding and recruitment marketing, and the ability to Think Big about the future of diversity recruiting strategies. You’ll have a track record of building trusted relationships with internal and external partners and creating effective mechanisms for complex operational challenges. You have a reputation as a strategic thinker and can transform broad visions and concepts into structured plans, actions and measurable metrics, then execute on those plans.

Key job responsibilities

Conferences and events strategy. Develop and execute conference and event engagement strategies that increase diversity recruitment results, build brand in the market, and provide leading edge learning to our business teams.
Event planning and project management. Provide end-to-end operational support and project management of conference engagements and recruiting events including budget tracking, contracting, venue selection, booth shipments and build, content and collateral preparations, project management, webinars, virtual events, scheduling, branded inventory management, attendee experience and ROI tracking.
Events execution. Participate in the planning and execution of day-to-day operations of event and conferences scheduling and logistics support.
Optimize hiring results. Work with business-aligned talent acquisition teams to define and develop end to end process flows for event and conference support and engagement strategies.
Cross functional collaboration. Partner across the enterprise to influence the One Amazon approach and brand presence at major diversity conferences, then design effective recruiting approaches tailored to our business needs.
Create experiences for candidates to experience Amazon’s employer brand in an inclusive, authentic way. Develop and gather conference and event related collateral including sponsorship/hosting required content (brochures, banners, flyer, digital marketing, etc.) and booth demos in partnership with branding and marketing teams.
Dive deep into data. Build analytics and measurements to map event and conference support work to diversity recruiting outcomes and report on trends, targets and ROI.

• Experience implementing a large scale employer presence at major diversity recruiting conferences • Experience designing and developing recruitment marketing campaigns, employer brand or candidate experience initiatives for underrepresented talent communities • Exceptional listening skills and intellectual curiosity around diversity, equity and inclusion • Agile PM Certification/Agile for HR expertise • Experience building strong partnerships with operations leaders to understand improvement opportunities. • Experience driving and communicating change and willingness to challenge and influence senior leaders.
