Job Description :
KBR is seeking a Project Coordinator to join NASA’s Earth science program at Ames Research Center. The Earth Sciences Division (code SG) scientists and technical personnel design, develop, and perform experimental measurements (from airborne and satellite platforms) and conduct computer simulations of atmospheric and ecosystem processes to understand exchanges between the biosphere and the atmosphere. The Project Coordinator will provide coordination, technical support, and administrative support for the division. This includes organizing virtual and in-person meetings and events, tracking status of numerous items, conducting safety inspections, and tracking open issues.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform administrative functions for the division staff members and ESPO team, including travel, conference submissions, correspondence, and calendar management.
Maintain office by purchasing office supplies, updating, and maintaining office equipment and keeping physical space organized.
Distribute safety topics, perform monthly safety inspections, and record, track, and follow-up on safety issues.
Maintain a log of grant submissions for the Earth Sciences Division and compile statistics regarding proposals submitted and funded.
Coordinate strategic and project planning meetings, and lead the production of virtual events
Coordinate strategic plans, project plans, presentations, reports, and position papers.
Submit and track purchase requests (PRs) and service requests (SRs) for the division.
Support the Earth Science Chief, Deputy Chief, and Assistant Chief in planning meetings, coordinating audio/visual equipment support, taking meeting minutes, and documenting actions.
Serve as Property Custodian and Records Management Liaison for the Earth Science Division.
Maintain record of peer reviewed papers submitted by ARC Scientists.
Coordination and tracking of data calls across Code SG.

Required Education/Experience:
High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Required Skills/Training:

Project administration experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; high level of efficiency and accuracy.
High level of autonomy, requiring minimal supervision.
Familiarity with online meeting software, such as MS Teams and WebEx.
Ability to utilize collaboration and scheduling tools, such as SharePoint and Google Docs.
Ability to multi-task and work with or without a team, depending on the specific scenario.
Ability to respond quickly and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments to meet deadlines.
Anticipate tasks that need to be completed; self-starter, proactive.
Proficient in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Desired Education, Experience, Skills or Training:

Experience with Lab safety plans and safety inspections.
Proficient in online meeting software (such as Adobe Connect, Zoom and MS Teams) and conference room hardware (A/V equipment such as projectors, cameras, videoconference systems, etc.).
Event coordination experience.
Experience working with NASA or other government contracts.
