Job Description :
The Data Transformation team drives data governance strategy for the firm’s data and the adoption of consistent standards and capabilities.

Situated within the Enterprise Chief Data Office (ECDO), the Data Privacy, Use and Records Management Group leads the programs with the objective of:

effectively and efficiently managing data that is subject to Privacy requirements globally
effectively and efficiently managing records, ensuring that we both retain and dispose of data and documents as required

Within this context, the Records Management lead partners with the Functions including Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM), Finance, Risk, Human Resources (HR), Internal Audit (IA), Legal, Operations and Technology (O&T) as well as the Records Management, to achieve the objectives above.

Reporting Line: To ECDO Records Management Lead


The ECDO Records Management VP will partner with these functions to identify and deliver initiatives to ensure that we retain data and records for so long as we must or need, and dispose of data and records when we can and no longer need – in compliance with all relevant regulations and respecting business needs – including:

Ensuring that Functions records and information subject to record keeping requirements has been documented with its relevant lineage in line with the Data Operating Model framework
Development of guidelines & standards to support Functions in their execution of the Record Keeping Policy
Identifying and governing the adoption of Citi record keeping policies by third parties used by Functions
Defining and agreeing data quality rules for the Functions.
Maintain a holistic view of records and information management issues impacting the Functions.
Develop and monitor relevant metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Records Management Program.
Evaluation and Selection of content/records management tools, development of processes and controls to enable the efficient oversight of data quality and integrity initiatives relating to privacy.
Maintain knowledge of relevant industry and regulatory developments that may impact the Functions.


Ensure we have a diverse team and a positive culture of inclusion.
A strong understanding of Record Keeping laws and regulations, industry best practices, is necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.
Driving initiatives to enable the destruction of records and information in a timely and compliant manner
Lead development of metrics and develop simple repeatable process to produce them on regular cadence.
Coordinate and drive presentations to all audiences


6-10 years of overall business management experience in a complex, financial organization.
6-10 years working in a content/records management role
Hold one or more content/records management industry certifications such as: ICRM, IGP, CRM, or RIM
Strong content/records management practice and technology experience and knowledge
Solid understanding of content/records management issues, infrastructure and systems.
Understanding and familiarity with various content/records management industry standards (ISO 22957, ISO 18829, ISO 15801, ISO 15489, ISO 30300 series, etc.)
Requires a solid conceptual/ practical grounding in Enterprise Chief Data Office frameworks and methodologies.
Exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to act independently, work quickly and with careful attention to detail, juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to communicate effectively, drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels.
Strong analytical/problem solving skills; sound judgment and demonstrated leadership skills.
Bachelor’s degree required.
