As a Sr. Domain Program Manager, this candidate will be responsible for the planning, tracking and managing product development and delivery within the Value Added and Regional Services domain and managing a team of about 3 project managers.
This position requires a strong self-starter who can proactively engage virtual, cross functional teams without formal direction and can influence functional partners without direct authority, someone who is solution oriented, cares deeply about the products and solutions he/she helps deliver and has a proven track record of delivering the forecasted value proposition of the business case and people leadership skills
This position requires the ability to develop and implement creative solutions to challenging problems while collaborating with-in and across teams and lines of business; someone with entrepreneurial spirit, open to new approaches and out of the box ideas. Someone who is detail oriented, yet has the ability to see the big picture in the context of the program and its intended benefits.
We are looking for someone with sound knowledge of and hand-on experience with Agile/Lean principles and mindset bent on process efficiency & optimization. You are expected to be able to successfully manage business programs/projects, both with or without IT dependencies in either Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid methodology while coaching and inspiring others, building strong relationships, and creating a true followership.
Partner with Product, Demand Management, and IT partners on road-map planning, business case creation, quarterly planning, project intake and delivery for the domain.
Partner with other product managers to develop and manage the domain roadmap that balances stakeholder inputs and MVP releases.
Provide clear vision and scope documentation, use cases, product requirements/epics/stories to support agile scrum teams.
Establish a framework for utilizing Jira to help track backlog and work in progress.
Prioritize the product backlog based on client demand, business cases, product KPI, strategic business goals (customer R&D, competitive, market)
Partner with teams (product, design, technology, risk, legal, compliance, ops, marketing, sales…) to manage prioritization, resourcing, controls, readiness, and go-to-market plans
Implement and monitor an effective tracking to ensure complete and timely closure of Risks, Action Items, Issues and Decisions.
Collaborate with multitude of stakeholders, communicate at an appropriate cadence, manage their expectations and negotiate for optimal solutions, priorities and delivery schedules
Help the leadership team with data driven and metrics driven decision making
Develop a deep understanding of organizational issues/challenges and identify process improvement opportunities; refine processes for optimization and reduction in bureaucracy
Develop and maintain artifacts that outline preventative and corrective actions necessary to remediate control deficiencies, maximizing effectiveness, and mitigating future exposure
Identify operational risks; ensure overall operational readiness/field readiness prior to launch; develop operational readiness playbook and facilitate Go/No Go meetings upon completing of testing
Ensure control procedures and audit artifacts are in place across the domain.
Bachelor’s degree with consistent outstanding academic record or equivalent work experience
5+ years combined working in financial industry, which includes supporting a product organization.
Jira expertise a must, in setting up dashboards, Kanban’s, defining queries, and managing EPICS/stories for requirement definition.
Experience in merchant acquiring and payments
Proven record of high performance and substantial achievements in past positions specific to developing , driving and managing programs and associated budgets
Effective communicator with ‘know your audience’ skills and the ability distil complex ideas into easy to understand messaging
Strong stakeholder management skills; effective negation and persuasion skills. Adept at building partnerships based on common objectives.
Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to strategy, business development, product development, project management, marketing and sales
Demonstrated leadership ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization in a collaborative team environment
Initiative taker, eager to break new ground, create opportunities for others and roll up sleeves to provide a consultative approach while creating successful outcomes
Strong presentation and communication skills with proven ability to influence
Possesses excellent EQ with an empathetic communication style that fosters connection, collaboration and motivation
