Job Description

Oversee material management, procurement, and supply chain downstream and upstream of product ramp up with continuous process improvement.
Drive operational efficiency and product profitability by leading collaboration with materials, parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies’ external vendors as well as internal teams.
Generate supply chain cost information during the early product development process to drive product design decisions and through the lifetime of the product for cost savings opportunities.
Strategically evaluate and source raw material and parts vendors and assemblies and sub-assemblies’ contract manufacturers.
Ensure alignment of supply chain forecast with production and commercial forecasts by working strategically with cross functional teams.
Ensure alignment of supply chain schedule with engineering, program management, and external vendors.
Establish traceability of all materials and parts to the inventory management system and generate inventory reports to ensure alignment.
Ensure supply chain risks are identified and mitigated to ensure material readiness for production schedule.
Ensure maintenance of accurate MRP data to reflect confirmed delivery quantities and due dates from vendors, validate, troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies with vendors and/or internal team.
Collaborate with Production and Engineering to support material changes resulting from design changes or change orders.
Drive supply chain department project / workflow adherence to scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
Oversee transport and distribution of finished product and maintain traceability with inventory management system.
Collaborate with Production and Engineering to support package selection, integrity and transport testing.
Build and maintain relationships with key vendors
Build-out internal processes and procedures to improve execution and overall decision-making.
Highlight, prioritize, and resolve supply chain issues that arise before and after product ramp.
Review and improve manufacturing processes, including fixtures, quality, reliability and documentation to ensure stability during sustaining production.
Generate and prioritize supply chain actions to improve cost, quality, reliability, and the ability to deliver to customers.
Generate processes for how to deal with manufacturing, quality, and delivery issues that minimize disruption to internal teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus.
Strong leader with experience in both large structured organizations as well as smaller more entrepreneurial companies preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management required.
Experience with 3PL set-up and ongoing management
Experience in Medical Device is preferred.
Able to quickly assess a business through comprehensive fact-based review then build and communicate a clear strategy.
Strong organizational and time management skills. Able to manage multiple and shifting priorities.
Ability to improve or create structure and process.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP.
Ability to travel.
