We currently have an opportunity to join our team of talented and diverse Faculty and Staff as a Coordinator III.

Required Qualifications: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or a related field. Four (4) years of experience in payroll or related activities is required. Strong technical and computer skills required.

Desired Qualifications: Candidates with experience in PeopleSoft’s Human Capital Management (HCM) module will be given preference. Familiarity with Florida Retirement System (FRS) and employment data is also preferred.

The starting salary is $44,000.

Key Responsibilities:

Calculate gross to net, garnishments and levies. Reconcile 403(b)’s, 457’s and general deductions. Process 941’s. Prepare W-2’s and file tax reports. Correct out of balance conditions.
Gather and maintain information to support periodic and special reports documenting activities and events and identifying problem areas; monitor quality control of programs and files; maintain record system; process daily paperwork including reports, memos, and requisitions.
Oversee, review, and approve expenditures; provide fiscal data for the preparation of the annual budgets.
Develop and implement guidelines and procedures; attend or conduct staff and other professional meetings to exchange information; attend professional seminars or conferences to improve professional skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The successful candidate must have a payroll, accounting, or related background and have excellent organizational skills, be detail oriented, and possess interpersonal and computer technical skills. Ability to develop and meet goals as required. They must also have knowledge of computers, peripherals, and software programs such as Word, Excel, SQL and Oracle/PeopleSoft. This individual must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and be flexible in order to match the demands of the College. Must be able to take direction as well and work effectively and professionally on their own.
