Job Description
The Security Products team at Visa focuses on delivering the fraud detection and prevention solutions that enable every good transaction to be approved, every bad transaction to be declined, all with a seamless customer experience. Central to this strategy is the use of AI/ML models that are trained to detect fraud in the card payment ecosystem. Visa has pioneered these capabilities for over 25 years, and is continuing to evolve its capabilities to address the rapidly changing needs from today’s digital payment ecosystem.
Payment authentication, digital identity and their combination with payment authorization information is a critical component of this vision. You will have the opportunity to work on problems at the confluence of Identity, Authentication, Risk, Payments, and Machine Learning.
This role focuses on providing analytical support for the complete product lifecycle. Tap into Visas payments and fraud data to drive feature recommendations for ML model development, define and implement performance indicators for pilots, and build tools for our sales and customer success teams. In addition to an interest in the payments and fraud space, candidates should be excited about machine learning applications. The hands-on experience would be ideal preparation for product leadership roles at Visa.
Essential Functions

Data wrangling to set up the foundation that would drive model performance analytics
Dive into the unknown – we have lots of data we could explore. Provide recommendations on (i) the latest fraud trends (ii) prioritizing fraud solutions (iii) data that we should include in our model development pipeline to solve for the observed fraud trends.
Work with our sales and solutions engineering teams to collect client feedback. Validate feedback against the data we can observe. Incorporate the feedback into model roadmap decisions.
Partner with our data science and solutions engineering teams to define, implement, and track key indicators for our pilots and experiments.
Build analytical capabilities for operational monitoring and supporting our client success teams globally.

This position is open to the following locations: Arlington, Foster City, New York City
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:

3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Curiosity about machine learning and payments fraud
Willing to spend time on data cleaning and improve the quality of analysis driving product decisions
Confidently present data-driven recommendations to product leadership
Likes to tinker with data tools. Willing to roll up sleeves and build solutions to close gaps in our analytical capabilities
