Do you want to change the world? Alexa and Echo are shaping the future of voice recognition and cloud-based content/services. Alexa is the name of the Amazon cloud-based voice service and the brain that powers Echo, the award-winning and groundbreaking Amazon device designed around your voice. Alexa can answer questions, play music, read the news, check sports scores or the weather, and more—instantly. It’s hands-free, and always ready.
To achieve this, we blend of a variety of disciplines (such as NLP, data mining, machine learning, big data, semantic web, graph stores, cloud computing) in an effort to understand our customers and the things they’re excited about. To complement our complex algorithms and extensive data analyses, we create elevated and inspirational mobile and web features across the entire communication experience. As a Product Manager in this role, you’ll play a key part designing experiences and systems that present the right features and skills to customers at the right time, making Alexa even more useful and easy to use.

Responsibilities will span all of the following areas:

Designing and delivering experiences that pioneer new ways to teach customers and help customers discover Alexa’s features and skills

Working with engineers to deploy machine learning models as services within the Alexa ecosystem

Working with Scientists and Software Engineers to improve experimentation infrastructure for voice interactions and Alexa features

Diving deep, reporting and improving metrics and performance of customer-facing features and capabilities that drive discovery and engagement

A day in the life
You will work with design, development and science teams on end-to-end customer experiences that are purpose-built to drive Discovery of Alexa’s capabilities, skills and content. You’ll propose, design, scope, test, launch and iterate on a variety of features and programs. You will be responsible for the roadmap, metrics and improvements over time.
