Job Summary
Rume is dedicated to providing accessible testing and wellness programs for all.

Rume is seeking a VP of Compliance to support our healthcare business. This is an executive leadership position responsible for the establishment and maintenance of an organization-wide program to detect and prevent violations of laws, rules, or regulations. The position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and monitoring compliance program elements including written policies and standards, workforce training and awareness of general compliance requirements, communications and reporting, investigation of suspected violations, and monitoring enforcement and corrective action. Areas of concentration will include government billing and requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. The individual in this position will work in partnership with leaders throughout COVID Clinic.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervising Compliance department staff and Safety department staff

Duties/Responsibilities

Establishes and maintains the COVID Clinic Compliance & Safety Program

Compliance Program is established and maintained in manner consistent with policies, the Code of Conduct, compliance program guidance published by the Office of Inspector General, OSHA and other relevant regulatory requirements and/or guidance.

Coordinates the activities of the Compliance Committee

Compliance Committee meets not less frequently than bi-monthly; composition maintained per Committee charter.

Coordinates regulatory compliance training and education programs

A compliance education curriculum is maintained
Compliance program with minimum training requirements and new employee orientation is monitored
Metrics maintained and reported on education programs and completion by work force members and others covered by the Compliance Program
Policy/Training materials reviewed and updated as necessary

Directs Compliance reviews and investigations

Investigations of compliance concerns received by the Compliance office are investigated appropriately

Supervises staff in Compliance/Safety department

Assigns projects to staff based on risks and priorities of the Compliance/Safety program

Required Skills/Abilities

Management & leadership skills
Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and other requirements
Legal and contract aspects of Compliance
In depth knowledge and understanding of health care compliance requirements.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, management or related discipline or equivalent related experience
Certification in one or more of the following disciplines: Board certification health care management (FACHE), Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other related nationally recognized professional credentials relevant to healthcare management and/or Compliance
Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare auditing, quality/performance improvement, clinical auditing, risk management, litigation support

Physical Requirements

Walking, sitting, standing, frequent use of a computer, occasional stress in meeting deadlines and managing multiple concurrent projects
