Job Title Warehouse Operations & Furniture Specialist
Job Description Summary Responsible for executing planning and coordination of multiple warehouse projects, conceptualizing all warehouse and vendor storage requirements, including data gathering for warehouse configurations, shelving bay layouts, best practices on inventory management and knowledge of popular furniture systems and vendors. Assist in the overall operations of our main warehouse spaces and the vendors we partner with. Oversee client requests for furniture and improve on our speed to deliver.
Job Description

Help manage warehouse and furniture requests and tickets
Document activity levels and report on ins/outs for daily requests
Help manage the project requests and related activity and ensure the process to reserve furniture is being met
Help manage our asset management system (Rheaply)
Single POC for the Rheaply platform and 3rd party team
Evaluate our reserved inventory and determine if items need to remain reserved and implement a process to shift reserved items back into our active inventory
Develop a plan to reorganize the main warehouse to better showcase the available items. Consider loading docks, staging areas, forklift runs and path of travel to determine how to best optimize our space
Ensure all vendors adhere to our safety policies and guidelines
Help manage warehouse resources, vendor trucks/fleet and warehouse supplies
Run a min/max report monthly to address shortages of standard items and recommend churn orders to replenish desired furniture types
Create a new system to track landfill diversion, furniture reuse, sustainability initiatives and our disposal process
Oversee our furniture donation process
Create initiatives utilizing new technology, new innovations or introduce ways we can improve on current processes and operations
Set up furniture showrooms within the warehouse for client tours.
Help oversee the campus care team and their furniture restoration and repair process

Create a partnership with our vendor partners on warehouse best practices and run the weekly warehouse meeting
Provide support documentation on warehouse operations each month identifying trends in activity and looking at existing resources to ensure they are adequately staffed
Act as the liaison/POC between the multiple vendors that share the warehouse space. Provide recommendations on how spaces can be shared and how supplemental resources can be better optimized.
Help ensure the warehouse budget is adhered to and provide a variance report each month.
Partner with the DEP Design Team on inventory levels. Get buy in before we dispose of furniture. Loop in DEP when inventory becomes available and coordinate tours to determine what products we may want to incorporate into our furniture inventory
Provide input to resource and funding requirements to support warehouse operations.

General Qualification Requirements:

At least three years of experience required in warehouse operations. Familiarity with the furniture industry and multiple furniture systems required.
Experience with inventory tracking and asset management software required. Experience with Rheaply (asset lifecycle management system) a big plus.
Experience working on a large-scale campus, portfolio-wide furniture projects, inventory management, asset tracking and warehouse operations preferred. Experience at a large tech company is a bonus.
Must be able to lead vendors or contracted crews through complex projects and robust inventory management
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred. Work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience with G-Suite, MS Excel, warehouse planning software, CAD and space data management solutions a plus
Strong organization with proven leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Detail oriented and thorough with the ability to prioritize between important and most import task
Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service proactively
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

Physical Requirements

Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day

Involves work in a warehouse environment

May involve periods of standing, such as operating at a copier/fax/scanner or standing desk
Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type
Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and

computer displays
